Guadalupe, Zacatecas, Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, portal detail

At another Franciscan missionary center five miles to the East of Zacatecas, Ágreda also appears pen and paper in hand, in the right spandrel above the portal of the Guadalupe conventual church. She is placed just to the left of Doctor of the Church St. Bonaventure, foremost Franciscan of his time after Sr. Francis and author of seminal treatises including Itinerarium Mentis in Deum (The Journey of the Mind to God). Opposite are St. John the Evangelist and St. Luke painting the Virgin Mary, while in the center St. Francis upholds Our Lady of Guadalupe. Above is the latter-day Latin inscription Sacro Sancta et Romana Lateranensis Basilica (Sacred and Holy Roman Lateran Basilica).
